What is Sleep standard?
In short
A sleep standard is the safety specification a cot, bassinet or sleep product is tested and listed against.
A sleep standard is the safety specification a cot, bassinet or sleep product is built and tested against, and it is usually printed on the product label as well as the listing. BabyBjorn and CuddleCo list en-716 for their sleep products, while Baby Delight and Elvie list astm-f2194, and Cradlewise lists both astm-f2194 and 16-cfr-1218. Standards cover things like mattress height, rail height and gap sizes rather than comfort. If a listing shows no standard at all, that is worth asking about before assembly.
