What is Seat weight kg?
In short
How heavy the seat itself is, and a good clue to how it will feel to move, carry and reinstall between cars.
Seat weight kg is the weight of the seat itself in kilograms, given separately from how much child weight it allows. It tells you how a seat feels to carry, lift into a car and swap between two vehicles, and a heavier shell often corresponds to more structure and higher rear-facing limits. Baby Plus and Britax both list a seat weight of 12.7 and 12.7, while Baby Jogger lists 8.2. Weight is only one factor, so weigh it against install, fit and price rather than picking the lightest seat.
